The micro-controller continuously monitors the magnitude of the phase current and the neutral current .whenever the phase current or the earth current magnitude exceeds the present value corresponding line / earth element will pick up and relay will trip after time interval calculated by the selected IDMT curves. Whenever the fault level exceeds the selected high set range, the relay will trip for high set, ignoring the selected IDMT curves. The timer logic is processed and after comparison with set time schedules, tripping signals are issued accordingly. There are two output relays , each output relay has two change over contacts either for alarm or tripping. The output relays are programmable. The relay rating (In) is field selectable either 1A or 5A. The relay has RS 485 com port which can be used with modbus protocol for communication purposes.

    Installation Procedure For Earth Leakage Relay Cbct:

    Check the sensitivity of Earth Leakage Relay and also the inner diameter of core balance current transformer.

    The Serial No. of the ELR and CBCT should match for better performance (the performance shall be guaranteed if the serial no. of the ELR and CBCT are matched).

    Check the Auxiliary Supply of ELR and proper Voltage i.e. the rated Auxiliary Voltage.

    The ELR have one pair of potential free change over contact for tripping purpose. Use rated current and rated voltage (refer the specification of our product). One pair of change over contact i.e., N/O Contact and N/C Contact can be used depending upon the tripping management.

    The Microcontroller Based Motor Protection Relay does not require external Current Transformer (CT) for its operation for within the bandwidth of Im ranges. The three phase R, Y and B cables are made to pass through the CT hole which is in the relay. The built in CT’s takes care of stepping down of the Currents to the required level.
